Roads&Bridges Magazine: CMT Helps Lead Major Highway Improvements in St. Louis

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. has been working closely with the Missouri Department of Transportation on several major projects that will transform transportation in the St. Louis area.

On the heels of the recent opening of the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge, CMT’s Greg Law took to the pages of Roads&Bridges magazine to write about big highway improvements being undertaken in the St. Louis area. Law was the project manager for the Mississippi River Bridge (MRB) I-70 Interchange and the Park Over the Highway project, while CMT is leading the utility coordination for the Poplar Street Bridge Project. (CMT was also lead designer for the MRB Bridge Illinois Approach project.)

Greg Horn, Missouri Department of Transportation district engineer, was quoted in the article about the significance of these projects:

“The people in St. Louis really don’t have any idea what’s going to happen here very soon. By October 2015, traffic patterns are going to change drastically. We’re actually going to relieve all of the traffic congestion downtown. And it’s also going to create economic opportunities. This is the beginning of a big change for the city. It’s pretty exciting,” said Greg Horn, district engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) St. Louis District.
